‘The Have And The Have Nots’ Star Angela Robinson On Fashion

Angela Robinson portrays Veronica Harrington on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots and while she always brings her all to the character, she also brings the fashion.

In an interview with Page Six, she reveals how costume designer Crystal Hayslett pushed for Veronica Harrington to wear high fashion clothes from Christian Louboutin and Chiara Boni La Petite Robe.

The 57-year-old said, “Mr. [Tyler] Perry would always say, ‘Oh Lord, how much they cost?’ He was always looking at the bottom line.”

She continued, “All you have to do is go to Tyler and say, ‘Hey, do you like this?’ And you would not have to take it any further than him. So that’s been a joy, but when you spend that money he’s like, ‘Wait, what? Wait a minute, how much is that?’”

As for her character, Robinson explained, “Veronica is a millionaire; she came from the projects, so she has the money now and she wants to enjoy the luxury of it. She has to look like money. She commands respect when she walks into a room. She is a woman that knows what she wants.”

The Have And The Have Nots airs on OWN. The premiere date of the eighth season has not yet been announced.
