Blair Underwood Returns To ‘L.A. Law’ For A Sequel


Blair Underwood became a household name  when he starred in L.A. Law from 1987 to 1994. Now, the series is making a return and fans can expect to see Underwood revive his popular character, attorney Jonathan Rollins.

According to Deadline, the sequel is in the works with ABC and will be executive produced by writer Ubah Mohamed who is most known for her work on Arrow/Legends, and Marc Guggenheim. In addition, Anthony Hemingway, an Emmy winner who also directed 2012’s Red Tails, will executive produce and direct.

Underwood tweeted on Dec. 17, “For all those LA LAW fans from back in the day… We are working on something new for ya. I’ll definitely keep you posted!”

Deadline describes the sequel as “the new generation of lawyers at the firm working with Rollins.”

L.A. Law aired from 1986 to 1994 on NBC. The series won 15 Emmys and Blair Underwood received a Golden Globe nomination. In 1995, he was honored with an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
