Hours after TMZ reported that Dr. Dre was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following a brain aneurysm, the rap mogul posted an update on his condition for concerned fans.
Taking to Instagram, Dre (born Andre Young) wrote, “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
According to the celebrity news site, the Compton native was rushed by ambulance to Cedars Sinai hospital on Monday, Jan. 4, and taken directly to the intensive care unit. He was said to be stable and lucid.

No further details are available about Dre’s condition or his long-term prognosis.
