Swedish Company Selling 'Dark Chocolate' Spray Tan

The world of tanning has just went in a disturbing new direction as a company in Sweden is now selling spray tans that go beyond the typical orange look — their product line aims to make its consumers look Black, and it’s flying off the shelves.

The Stockholm-based Emmaatan salon specializes in spray tanning, but while other salons stop at the bronze stage, Emmaatan takes their shades even deeper with a product line boasting tan solution names like, “Violet Onyx,” “Dark Ash Onyx,” “Caramel,” and “Dark Chocolate.”

Currently, on the company’s website, most of the darker shades are sold out. The site also shows before and after photos, with lily-white women showing the vastly noticeable differences between the spray tan and their natural skin tones.

Now that information on the product has gone viral, Black Twitter is sharing their disgust with the blatant advertisement of blackface. Here is what one user said about the new product:
