Go Behind The Scenes Of Tyler Perry’s 'Sistas'

Tyler Perry is gearing up for the premiere of his brand new BET series Sistas, coming later this month, and in anticipation, we’ve released a behind-the-scenes clip showing the leading cast in action.

Novi Brown, KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian and Mignon Von all share what the series means to them and what it was like filming a project that perfectly embodies #BlackGirlMagic.

“Sistas is about four young melanated queens doing this thing in the world,” said Brown, who stars as Sabrina Hollins. “They’re professionals, they’re business owners, but they’re also women who are seeking happiness within themselves and having that inner sister circle.”

Obsidian, who stars as Karen Mott, also said that she hopes these characters can be a mirror for those watching.

“I just really hope that women find themselves in this group of friends,” she said.
