Videos Show Juice Wrld Joking Around With Friends on Private Jet Hours Before He Died

Video footage has emerged showing Juice Wrld’s final moments, and the rapper seemed to be in good spirits with his friends before he died.

The 21-year-old rapper (real name: Jarad A. Higgins) was seen playing and clowning around with pals aboard a private plane headed to Chicago’s Midway Airport early Sunday morning (Dec. 8).

“This was Juice Wrld as he got on the plane that took him to Chicago last night. He was in high spirits and looked happy,” YouTuber DJ Akademiks posted on Twitter, along with the footage showing the rapper’s last moments alive.

Akademiks added alongside another video showing the moments after the plane landed: “More footage of Juice Wrld on his private jet which was headed to Chicago. Seems like everything was good and everyone including him was in high spirits until he landed.”

Shortly after landing, Juice Wrld died. He was 21 years old and had just celebrated his birthday last Monday (Dec. 2).

Juice Wrld’s official cause of death won’t be known until an autopsy is performed Monday, but there are conflicting reports about whether the rising rap star passed away from a seizure, cardiac arrest, or both.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Juice Wrld went into cardiac arrest shortly after 2 a.m. at the airport’s private hanger and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

However, TMZ, which broke the news of Juice Wrld’s death, reported that the Chicago-born entertainer suffered a seizure at the airport and was bleeding from the mouth.

The Chicago Sun-Times remained neutral in their reporting, stating that Juice Wrld’s death was the result of a “medical emergency” at Chicago’s Midway Airport.

Juice Wrld rose to fame in 2018 after he released what would end up being his first hit single (and his most popular song) “Lucid Dreams,” which made it all the way to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

He also had a hit single in “All Girls Are the Same” after featuring Lil Yachty on the remix, and the success of that song landed him a multi-million dollar contract with Interscope Records.

Juice’s sophomore album, Death Race for Love, debuted in March at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

He also collaborated with well-known artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Ellie Goulding and K-Pop group BTS.

His latest single, “Bandit,” featuring NBA YoungBoy, was on the top 10 charts at the time of his death.

“Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time,” Interscope said in a statement. “He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else.”
