Grammy-winning artist Donald Glover is being sued by his former record label for allegedly not paying it a fair share of his profits.

The Glassnote Entertainment Group is suing Glover, who goes under the moniker Childish Gambino, for leaving them out of more than $700,000 in streaming royalties, according to TMZ.  In the lawsuit, Glassnote says it paid Glover nearly $8 million in royalties and plans to pay him another $2 million in the next three months.

The label also claims that the “This is America” rapper made a $1.5 million demand to resolve any streaming royalty disputes, TMZ reports.

Glover signed with Glassnote in 2011 and released all three of his albums, Camp, Because The Internet, and the Awaken, My Love!, that featured the Grammy-winning hit “Redbone.” But the partnership has been contentious for years, Vibe.com reports.

Four year ago, Glover said in a now deleted tweet that he was frustrated with how Glassnote promoted his music. He said at the time the label, which  didn’t make him a priority because he’s not “loud, or outrageous, or a white girl with a big ass.”

He also said the label lied to him claiming after he stated “I know how the Internet works,” to them, they “laughed on the phone and said, ‘oh really?’”
